EXCESSIVE SWEATING

Excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis) is a very common problem which can cause embarrassment and inconvenience within your daily life. Typically normal deodorants are unsuccessful at treatment and symptoms occur all year around, not just in hot temperatures. 

Certain factors that can make symptoms worse:

• Alcohol, caffeine, hot and/or spicy food

• Some people have no identifiable causes/triggers and are affected regardless. 

TREATMENT

A full consultation is undertaken prior to treatment to ensure there is no chance for any other underlying causes. Prior to treatment, a local anesthetic cream is applied to the area for 20 mins to make the procedure more comfortable. Numerous pinprick injections of Botox is administered to temporarily stop the enlarged sweat glands. Treatment takes no longer than 30 minutes. Maximum Results take approximately 2 weeks to take affect. Results last 6-9 months with results typically extending if done regularly.

MIGRAINE

Migraines can be very disabling and disruptive to a person's home and work life. 

Botox was licensed specifically for the treatment of chronic migraine in July 2010 by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) after extensive research by National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE), showing the effectiveness of its use. 

Only patient's with chronic migraines are eligible for treatment with Botox. Chronic migraines is defined as headaches occurring on 15 or more days each month, with at least half of which have migraine like features. 

The results can take several days to take effect with results lasting from 3-4 months
